IN CONGRESS, July 4, 1776.
The unanimous Declaration of the
thirteen united States of America,



When in the Course of human events, 
it becomes necessary for one people to
dissolve the political bands which have 
connected them with another, and to assume 
among the powers of the earth, 
the separate and equal station to
which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's
God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions 
of mankind requires that they should declare 
the causes which impel them to the separation.

That to secure these rights, Governments are
instituted among Men, deriving their just 
powers from the consent of the governed,
That whenever any Form of Government 
becomes destructive of these ends, 
it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it,
and to institute new Government, laying its foundation 
on such principles and organizing its powers in
such form, as to them shall seem most likely to
effect their Safety and Happiness. 



We hold these truths to be self-evident
, that all men are created equal, that they are
endowed by their Creator with certain 
unalienable Rights, that among these are Life,
Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. —

But when a long train of abuses and
usurpations, pursuing invariably the same 
Object evinces a design to reduce them under 
absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, 
to throw off such Government, and to provide new 
Guards for their future security. — 
Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies
; and such is now the necessity which constrains them
to alter their former Systems of Government.




  Jeremiah 27:6   And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.
  Jeremiah 27:7   And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.
  Jeremiah 27:8   And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the LORD, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.

18 O the depravity of my people! They are without order and without mercy. Behold, I am but a man, and I have but the strength of a man, and I cannot any longer enforce my commands.
19 And they have become strong in their perversion; and they are alike brutal, sparing none, neither old nor young; and they delight in everything save that which is good; and the suffering of our women and our children upon all the face of this land doth exceed everything; yea, tongue cannot tell, neither can it be written.

22 But behold, my son, I recommend thee unto God, and I trust in Christ that thou wilt be saved; and Ipray unto God that he will spare thy life, to witness the return of his people unto him, or their utter destruction; for I know that they must perish except they repent and return unto him.
23 And if they perish it will be like unto the Jaredites, because of the wilfulness of their hearts, seeking for blood and revenge.
