Matthew 5:34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:

Ephesians 5:8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.
Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth)
and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness,
but rather expose them. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.
But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated
becomes a light. This is why it is said:
Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth)

As ye have kept my commandments, and also the commandments of my father, and have prospered, and have been kept from falling into the hands of your enemies, even so if ye shall keep the commandments of my son, or the commandments of God which shall be delivered unto you by him, ye shall prosper in the land, and your enemies shall have no power over you.
