gen 26
26 Then Abimelech went to him from Gerar, and Ahuzzath one of his friends, and Phichol the chief captain of his army.
27 And Isaac said unto them, Wherefore come ye to me, seeing ye hate me, and have sent me away from you?
28 And they said, We saw certainly that the Lord was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee;
29 That thou wilt do us no hurt, as we have not touched thee, and as we have done unto thee nothing but good, and have sent thee away in peace: thou art now the blessed of the Lord.
30 And he made them a feast, and they did eat and drink.
a message from the book of mormon
3 nephi 6. 27 Now
it came to pass that those judges had many friends and kindreds; and
the remainder, yea, even almost all the lawyers and the high priests,
did gather themselves together, and unite with the kindreds of those
judges who were to be tried according to the law.
28 And they did enter into a covenant
one with another, yea, even into that covenant which was given by them
of old, which covenant was given and administered by the devil, to combine against all righteousness.
29 Therefore
they did combine against the people of the Lord, and enter into a
covenant to destroy them, and to deliver those who were guilty of murder
from the grasp of justice, which was about to be administered according
to the law.
