curtains

In the Bible, Exodus 26 describes the curtains of the Tabernacle as being 28 cubits long and 4 cubits wide. The curtains were made of fine linen and interwoven with figures of cherubim in blue, purple, and scarlet.

Explanation
The curtains were sewn into two sets of five curtains each.

The two sets were joined together with 50 blue loops and 50 gold clasps.

The joint was located above the pillars of the veil.

The curtains were a symbol of the separation between God and humanity.

Only the High Priest could enter God's presence once a year to atone for the sins of the people.

In addition to the linen curtains, there was also a covering of goats' hair that went over the tabernacle. The goats' hair covering was wider and longer than the linen covering, so it completely covered the linen.
