resists the proud, GIVES grace to the humble

1 Corinthians 3.10:According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon

  Ephesians 3.8:Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
Ephesians 3
Although I am less than the least of all the Lord’s people,
this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the
boundless riches of Christ, and to make plain to
everyone the administration of this mystery,
which for ages past was kept hidden in God,
who created all things. His intent was that now,
through the church, the manifold wisdom of God
should be made known to the rulers and authorities
in the heavenly realms,  according to his eternal
purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.
In him and through faith in him we may approach
God with freedom and confidence. I ask you,
therefore, not to be discouraged because of my
sufferings for you, which are your glory.

1 Peter 5:5   Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

James 4 King James Version (KJV)

From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
